The Creative Arts Committee of Fazl Ali College
organized the 4th Edition of September Mélange, a three – day event
from 6th – 8th September, 2022, culminating with the
College Foundation Day on the third day. It is one of the biggest events of the
college celebrating the skills, talents and creativity of the students, also
providing a platform for exposure. The inaugural programme was held on the
first day with Shri Sentilong Ozukum SDO (Civil) Mokokchung as the Special
Guest. The programme included a Teachers’ Exhibition Debate on the topic “Clean
election is a farce” where the students, teachers and invitees present were
enlightened. Mr. Sentilong on the occasion appreciated and encouraged the
students to be creative in different areas and to feel alive in their
creativity. The programme was followed by the inauguration of Stalls and
Exhibitions/Sales by the Special Guest.
The event had various competitions like cosplay,
flower arrangement, dialogue writing, Spin a Yarn (story narration), dance
solo, debate, singing (solo), painting, photography and the Battle of Bands.
The Mélange showcased different talents of the students and awarded them for
excellency in their creativity and skills. Lit-Colloquium III, a talk series on
the topic “Gender Gap in Political Participation and Political Knowledge of
Youth in Nagaland” was also initiated by the Department of English with
Lipokrenla Jamir, Asst. Professor, Department of Political Science, Zunheboto
Government College and Research Scholar as the Resource Person.
The 63rd Foundation Day of the college was
celebrated on the third day with Shri. Shashank Pratap Singh (IAS) DC
Mokokchung gracing the programme as the Special Guest. R. Arenla Aier, Vice
Principal highlighted the journey of Fazl Ali College from a humble beginning
to a Grade “A” accredited college by NAAC on the occasion. Various awards for
academic excellence were also given out during the programme. The Special Guest
congratulated the college on achieving great heights and applauded the
recipients of different meritorious awards encouraging them to continue working
hard.
